Powerful Partnerships

Building businesses, navigating life and discovering the power of doing it together

What will audiences take away

1. Partnership over perfection

You don't need to have identical strengths, personalities or approaches. The most powerful partnerships happen when people recognise what each other brings and allow those differences to work in their favour.

2. Define your roles, protect your relationship

Working together requires more than good intentions. Clear responsibilities, agreed expectations and dedicated business conversations can protect both the business and the personal relationship.

3. Communication is everything

Good intentions don't always equal good communication. Learn how fear, shame, guilt and the desire to protect someone can create barriers, and why honest conversations are essential when things get difficult.

4. Roadblocks are not always the end of the road

From closing a studio to changing careers, relocating, travelling and rebuilding after significant setbacks, Chantelle and Benji share how unexpected detours can open doors you didn't even know existed.

5. Know your strengths — and let others shine

You don't have to be everything to everyone. A strong partnership allows each person to focus on what they do best, fill in each other's gaps and bring in outside people who offer new perspectives and skills.

6. Build a life, not just a business

Success isn't just about turnover, growth or financial milestones. It's about understanding what you're working towards, creating space for family and personal fulfilment, and making decisions that reflect the life you actually want.

What happens when your business partner is also your life partner?

When the business meetings happen at the kitchen table, the biggest decisions affect your family, and the person you need to have your back at work is the same person you're coming home to at the end of the day?

Welcome to Powerful Partnerships.

Chantelle and Benji share their extraordinary, honest and often unexpected journey of building businesses, raising a family and navigating the beautiful chaos of doing it all together.

From their early days working side by side, starting with billable hours and figuring out how their very different skill sets could complement one another, to building multiple businesses, navigating pregnancy complications, NICU experiences, career changes, a global pandemic, international travel, business growth and a devastating financial scam — their story is anything but conventional.

There have been moments of incredible success, periods of complete uncertainty, unexpected roadblocks and times when the future looked nothing like they had imagined.

They've experienced what happens when business roles aren't clearly defined, when personal and professional relationships become blurred, when communication breaks down and when trying to protect each other can actually create distance.

They've also discovered something incredibly powerful: the right partnership doesn't require two people to be the same. It requires two people who understand what the other brings to the table.

Through humour, vulnerability, lived experience and some seriously unexpected plot twists, Chantelle and Benji explore what it really takes to build a partnership that can withstand the pressures of business and life.

This isn't a story about getting everything right.

It's about learning to recognise when you're on the wrong path, having the courage to change direction, trusting each other through uncertainty and understanding that sometimes the biggest roadblocks create the greatest opportunities.

Because powerful partnerships aren't built by avoiding the hard stuff. They're built by learning how to navigate it together.

The reality behind the partnership.

The keynote weaves together some of the most defining chapters of Chantelle and Benji's journey.

-The beginning: Working together, Australia's Got Talent, business crossovers and discovering the potential of combining their creative and practical skill sets.

-Finding their feet: Defining roles, moving from billable hours to genuine collaboration and learning how to support each other's businesses.

- When life changes everything: Pregnancy complications, the NICU, two children, unexpected health challenges and discovering the importance of humour, routines and finding your own way through difficult times.

- The roadblocks:Closing a studio, changing direction, stepping away from old identities and recognising that a path doesn't have to be THE path.

- Building something bigger: Growing both businesses, embracing new people, new skills and new partnerships, and learning not to put people in boxes.

-The freedom years: Selling up, travelling Australia as a family, exploring what life could look like outside the traditional business model and discovering new ways to work.

-The unexpected fall: A devastating financial scam, the breakdown of communication, the emotional toll on both partners and the difficult decisions required to rebuild.

-Growing stronger together: Moving forward with a different focus on family and business life. Staying powerful together.

The story ultimately comes full circle: recognising that when Chantelle and Benji work together, they are more creative, more capable, more resilient and better supported.

The Bigger Message

Chantelle and Benji's story is a reminder that you don't have to do everything yourself.

You don't have to be the best at every part of your business. You don't have to follow a predetermined path. And you certainly don't have to agree on everything.

The magic happens when you stop trying to be good at what the other person is already great at, when you make room for different ideas, when you communicate honestly and when you allow each other to grow.

The right partnership gives you someone to challenge you, someone to catch you, someone to celebrate with and someone who sees possibilities you might not see yourself.

It's about being each other's biggest cheerleaders, not each other's competition.

It's about creating something neither of you could have created alone.

Because when you get the partnership right, everything else gets a little more powerful.
